British Airways Holidays British Airways Holidays

Working as an interim manager; leading a team of HR staff in a merger between BAH and Thomas Cook Holidays to form a new company which relocated 200 miles away. A large redundancy exercise was implemented for the 200 staff who remained. We worked with local providers to offer support and job searching skills.

Oasis Community Learning Oasis Community Learning

Helen worked as an interim HR Director during the set up phase of this new multi-academy sponsor when they first employed school staff. She brought to the business knowledge and expertise in the employment of staff on teachers terms and conditions and the ‘oddities’ of employing associate staff on term time contracts. Establishing the national negotiating machinery and dealing with TUPE transfer of staff from a number of different authorities was all part of the challenge!

Sheffield City Council Sheffield City Council

Working as an interim manager to compliment the Senior Management team of the Organisation Development Service, within the Children and Young Peoples Directorate. Work included the improvement and modernisation of the HR admin service for schools; advising on the procurement of a new HR database and systems to link with payroll; supporting the workforce modernisation of schools.

Swindon Borough Council Swindon Borough Council

Helen worked for 9 months as an HR Director for the Children’s Services Team in Swindon while the permanent HR Director worked on a Council wide project. During this time Helen fulfilled the full duties of the HR director, managing the HR team, supporting Heads and Governors, completing a revision of HR policy and contributing to the service improvement programme managed for the Council by Tribal Consulting.
